THE STORY

Grand View Camp’s driving purpose is to glorify God by serving local churches. Two years ago, God abundantly provided for us to build the Grand View Inn which allowed us to expand our mission of serving churches. However, God is continuing to grow churches in the West, which means our opportunities to serve them are increasing. If you have visited us in the last couple years, you know that our current Chapel space is completely maxed out.

THE VISION

When finished, the Activity Center will aid in our mission of serving churches by providing seating for up to 450 for our chapel services. Additionally, it will allow for us to run indoor activities in all weather conditions, run different events at the same time (such as junior and teen camps), as well as allowing us to take the first step in expanding our capacity at Grand View.

THE PLAN

This building will be done in two phases. Phase One will include the underground plumbing, the concrete pad, and the metal shell. This part of the structure would allow us to use it as a covered activity area until Phase Two could be completed. Phase Two will include finishing the Activity Center with a regulation-size basketball court, a stage, a sound system, and finished bathrooms.

THE NEED

The budget for the entire Activity Center is $1.3 million. This total includes everything required in the building plus furniture. Phase One by itself will cost $500,000, which would allow us to use the building as an indoor activity center and begin our vision of expansion.

Thanks to our generous friends, we have been given $100,000 towards this project, as well as a $200,000 matching gift. That means that whatever you choose to give toward this project will be matched and doubled. This matching gift will run until the end of January, 2025.
